Ok, so I'm seriously thinking of applying for a new job. Application is through online submission of a CV and cover note. I just wondered what exactly to write on the cover note (my current job is at a supermarket - standard application form).

I ask this because the website page just has a tiny box to put my "cover note" in, rather than asking me to send a covering letter. There's definitely no space to properly format a letter anyway, so do I just add a few brief lines, or what? :/

I'll send a link to the page if my description is not clear.

    Thanks in advance

Anyone? I hate bumping threads but wondered if anyone had any ideas

I usually put something along the lines of: please find my CV attached, extremely interested in the role, why I think I'd be good for it (brief summary of skills you have that they listed in the job description), the hours I'm available for work and when I'm available for interview. Then: I look forward to hearing from you. Regards, .......
