So, you were predicted 10A*..you open the envelope and to your dismay, you get lower results..what were you expecting personally?
    I was predicted 9A* and 2As.
    I'm hoping for 4A*s, 4A's and 2Bs.
In the worst case scenario that I can possibly imagine (as GCSE's are easy) I'd get 2A*, 6As, 3Bs.

What does everyone else feel is suitable to expect, compared to what they were predicted?

My predicted grades and hopes are the same as yours!

Worst case: I guess straight Us, but for me I guess anything that won't get me where I want to go next year

I'm predicted all A*'s and would be very annoyed if I didn't get them; because some subjects are so subjective, I've just got no idea what I've got in them, so the absolute most unimaginably horrific worst case scenario would probably be:
2 A*'s (I'm pretty certain about Maths and Science)
2 A's (Decent performances in German and Electronics coursework/ oral and OK performance in the exams means below that would be pretty much impossible)
and then History, Geography, RE, and the two English could be anything from an A* to a U, although realistically I can't believe I could have gotten below a B, and probably an A in fact

Product design AND electronics with the hardest board. I feel for you, the coursework alone made me think of dropping it. got a good mark in the end though i guess. But to go through all that twice, folder making and all that jazz must have been rough am i right? i bet you've got you're 12A*'s and one A. I believe in you!

Oh man, we're a "specialist technology college" so I've been forced into doing both, and they're absolutely horrific. I'll be so pissed off if I get all A*'s on the 27th, leaving Product Design as my only A; it's a **** qualification, and was taught unbelievably badly at my school, with coursework being a guessing game of what we were meant to do most of the time (last year, the whole of Year 10 and 11 did it at the same time, and out of all those 550 or so people, not a single person got an A*), and, even though Electronics is somewhat better, you get the feeling that the exams were set by someone just opening a dictionary and finding the first word even slightly related to Electronics (if I get an A* this year, which I hope I will do as I raped the coursework, then I'll only be the 3rd person to do it at our school since they started teaching it like 20 years ago). What really pisses me off is when people doing Food or whatever complain about how "hard" that is. *****

Yeahh i agree with that rant, D.T exams are pointless, largely irrelevant and the coursework is time consuming.

Phwoar you seem like you had it worse than me, i complained like a ***** during the coursework and the fact that past papers were utterly random so we didn't know what the hell to revise.

I hope you do too seriously! I HATE situations like this and the only satisfaction i would get from wasting so many fruitless hours of my life would be getting an A* right there on my results. nothing less.

I wish you the best of luck bud

    I'm predicted:
    7A* and 1A.

    I'm hoping for:
    4A*, 3A, 1B
    or
    4A* and 4A

My worst case scenario will be anything from:
    1A*, 6As, 1B
    to
    1A*, 5A, 2B

    *damn you geography and dt!!*

    I have been predicted:

    Maths: B
    English lit & lang: A/A
Core science: I just missed out an A*!
    Additional Science: A
    Graphic Products: B
    Geography: A*
    Rs: A*
    I.T: A*
    German: A*
Citizenship: level 2 (A*) - easy as hell though

    so that's 5A*s, 5As, 2Bs

I'm hoping for exactly that if not better! But I think there's a chance I got an A in rs & German. Possibly Geography but i think I did quite well on that. Worst case scenario would involve me getting all Bs & Cs as I worked and stressed out too hard for these lol

I've got 2 A*s already in Maths and English and an A in Art...

So my worst would be no more A*s and a dreaded B somewhere...

Hmm...worst case? Probably 1A* in Maths and the rest Ds and one E/F in Arabic (ah who am I kidding? my best case scenario involves an E in Arabic!) I will cry though if I don't get my A* in Maths, it's the one subject where I bothered to put in loads of effort and time....
    same with me!
i so badly want an A* in maths only because i tried to hard!! haha i'll be lucky to get an E in german lol

Everyone seems to have such high standards... I think the worst possible outcome is all Us, but that seems very unlikely. I guess no As or A*s if I'm being realistic.

12 Us would make most poeple on here suicidal. :p: No scratch that, 12U's would make the majority of us....what's worse than being suicidal?
