This seemed like the most appropriate place to post. so yeah. Getting the pre-results jitters i've been looking to plan B and searching clearing courses. i've only just realised how high the requirements for biology is compared to the other sciences exc. maths an eng.

in most unis ive seen require higher entry requirments for bio over physics an chem, why is this?

Because it's more popular. Required grades fluctuate in relation to how many people want to do the course. Someone at Kings once said it was possible to do Medicine with only C-grade knowledge of A-level sciences (because most of medicine has very little to do with the actual science covered at A-level) but the grades are always AAA because it helps them to get the smartest of the bunch. Because Chemistry and Physics are undersubscribed the universities ask for much lower grades.
