Worst case scenario: Failing to get into my firm or Insurance, not finding something decent in Clearing and then not going to Uni.

I'd be pretty bummed about not getting into my Firm but I think I wouldn't mind going to my Insurance. I dreamt I got ABCD and it was so embarassing telling people, so I'd hate to have something like that. In all honesty I don't really want anything below a B.

That I fail really badly and all the teachers are all disappointed and stuff, and my parents. My mum has to cancel their hotel room in London because obviously I won't be moving in anywhere in September. My birthday is spoilt, and I'm too depressed to go to a 'glittering celebrity A level results party' in Oldham for Christ's sake and get to use my free bottle of Beck's voucher they posted me today.

I've already acknowledged and accepted that I've no chance of meeting my firm offer (ABB) and I think when I see the results for myself, it will hit me pretty hard.
Then I face the agonising decision of whether to accept my insurance offer (pretty sure I will have met that) or to just re-take the whole year and re-apply to a better uni

Realistically, my worst-case scenario is having made a pig's ear of the AEAs, meaning I end up at my reserve and am not in a position to reapply to the best universities.

If it was only 3 marks, why didn't you resit or get some papers remarked?
Applying for medicine so resits werent an option, teacher said it would be a waste of time paying for remarks as the unis had already made their decissions

I miss my Firm, they don't accept me even after phoning up and I have to resit.

It's the worst that could happen but it's not the end of the world!

Well I think I've got something like ABCU in my AS's.
The worst it could be is something like BCCU
    Best (realistically) is AABU.

    The U is without question.

I know someone who didn't initially apply to Keele, but applied there as a resit applicant after gaining AAC at A-level. They are studying medicine there now after resitting and turning the C into an A.

It doesn't matter now anyway, you're doing biomedical sciences. How are you finding it?
Whats done is done, it ok not what i want to do but fun never the less

Well UUUEe is the worst I can do.....

But I'm hoping that doesn't happen. At least I could still apply for TVU though :ahee:

I don't get the grades I need, I don't get a place at Brunel, I have to go into clearing since I don't have an insurance.

I can't decide if it would be worse to wait a year for a decent place or to take a place at a worse University and Brunel is hardly the shining gem of Universities in the first place.

Worst is probably failing by a few marks - significant enough that it's unlikely to be gained through a remark, but close enough to be soul-destroying. Ugh.

Getting my offer would obviously be the best-case scenario. Best-of-the-best case scenario would be getting amazing marks in all my modules/distinctions in AEAs/making my parents proud.

Reading this thread was a really bad move, I'm now even more apprehensive...
