Hey all, I managed a B in Higher English this year which I was pretty chuffed with considering I thought I answered both my essay questions wrongly, however on closer inspection it said I ahd a B in my external assessment (exam). But I found out that the sheet said I hadn't passed all my NAB's when I can categorically say that had, I'm thinking this could be an error on my teacher's part as he has already previously lost 2 of my NAB's and he made me resit them.

WHo should I contact about this huge mistake, I'm worried all my hard work for English will have been in vain.

    Thanks Martin

First off, contact your teacher asap. Go into school, it could be open this week. Take your certificate and explain whats happened. If this gets you no where I would contact the SQA themself.

    Good luck

Yes you would. If you passed the exam it would be something along the lines of 'B, exam only'

Hmmmm, seems wierd, that kinda defeats the purpose of the NAB really if it's showing your level of english in a exam that fully determines your grade - its not like there is a folio which gets graded.

I've never been in that situation so im not saying im 100% but seems strange, i think you'll be okay. Last year on my certificiate it had

    Higher English
external assessment or something - B
    nab 1
    nab 2
    nab 3
    nab 4

but no grades beside the nab. If all your NABs are mentioned i think you're okay. Best to check with the school or SQA though.
