How long will £1000 last at uni

I predict Im gona have about £1000 in savings of my own when i start uni, anyone got any suggestions from there own experience as to how long this will last in my first term? I'd say I'm not really a crazy spender and I'm hopefully going to plymouth, which i think is quite a cheap place to live!

well if that isnt including accommodation then it would last me a whole term.

I spent £1000 in freshers fortnight lol. It all depends how strict you are with yourself really...which I obviously am not!

i only spent £300 in freshers week :smile:

But I did end up spending £2000 in the first term.

You know what I mean lol...memories of not having memories which leads to the conclusion that it was great! :biggrin:

In anycase, £1000 for fresher's fortnight is not wildly excessive....most of my friends spent more than that! I have kept within budget for the whole year though.
