Wow OP. I could have written quite a bit of your post.
I've just been on the prospects.ac.uk website and I've found a semi perfect job for me- Lexicographer! I always said when I was a kid I wanted to be one of the people to 'put words in the dictionary.'
My number one job would be a writer (but the confidence issues stop me), my second perfect job would be a Cryptanalyst but that fails because I can't do Maths or break codes!
And then when I go on my gap year, I'm going to do what I've wanted to do forever which is work at a animal rehabilitation centre and have monkeys crawling all over me! I want to travel and film my experiences and be like Steve Irwin... only not Australian and a man.
Then there's my childhood dreams of being a jockey (despite never having had more than one riding lesson- I hate being poor! ) and a musical theatre actress (even though I get stage fright). But I want to be a writer most of all. That and a doctor. And a Steve Irwin type person.
Or does it play no part?
