cant get over him!

i have been on and off with this guy for three years now.......he left to go too america a few months after we started to date..........we broke up 9 months ago (i broke up with him for the record because i felt that he didnt feel the same way for me that i felt for him).the long distance thing was pretty hard..........but since we have broken up i cant seem to forget him :frown:

.....its silly i know . i tried to stop speakign to him but that didnt work. i need sum advice!!!

many turn to alcohol, drugs, casual sex or comfort eating to dull the pain

but you may find it more healthy to try something like pilates, some sort of sport, jigsaw puzzles, learning a language, watercolour painting, writing a journal or blog, writing anything in fact- maybe you can turn your pain into a publishing deal? knitting etc

I'm really interested why girls always have that mentality and guys don't - we either try and get laid asap or mope around.

You need a night out/in with your friends. Go out and have an awesome night on the town or stay in in your pjs and watch films and stuff!! Be with other people you love so you realise you don't need this guy in your life because there are so many other people who love you! :biggrin:

yea, the same prob has happened to me b4, i mean i went out wiv this guy n now im bak on him again, but im gettin over him by refusing to flirt wen he texts me and lookin into the future and thinkin, im gonna make summin outta my life n i don need u in it! i keep workin hard 4 exams n everytime i think of him, i jus feel betta coz ive actually got my mind on summin else. and wats more, summin thats gonna get me somewhere 1 day.

when that happens u just gotta decide if u wana be with them or not, and stick to it. everytime u wana get back together, just think of all the nasty times he hurt you this should give you the strength to move on

there msut hav been a reason you thought he didnt feel the same way about you in the first place... do you think he's still moping about after you? if the answer's no, go on a night out dressed up to the nines! then when you realise loads of other guys are desperate to go out with you im suer you'll forget this other guy even exists :p:

Everyone goes like that at one point, we all reminis over lost loves and the like, but you WILL get over it, go for the Pilates, Im taking up T'ai Chi to get over someone, keep ourselves busy!

this guy and i were in this long dist relationship but it didnt work out either.it was hard at first but i got over him (time heals all wounds)
dotn worry u will meet a guy better than him who will knwo how to treat u :smile:
