    hey,

    just wondering if anyone's going to volunteer at the Vitalise sandpiper centre at southport? i'm going tomorrow, excited and also abit nervous about what to expect :woo:

    can anyone who's been give me an idea what the accomodation and bathroom facilities is like?

    I have been there a few times. Accomodation for volunteers is very basic. Unless they made some major improvements expect bunk beds and shared bathrooms. You are not going to spend much time in your bedroom anyway so it does not matter much.

    It's a charity that organises holidays for people with disabilities. They use volunteers to provide majority of care and support for the guests. It's quite fun and good experience.

    I got back from skylarks and i had an awesome time.I'm defo going back next year.The two girls there enjoyed it so much they are going back next week!

    I went to Skylarks last year It was so much fun and I found the people so inspiring, I'll never forget it.

    I heard youth weeks are the best.You just get pissed and the guests pay for your drinks.

    Sandpipers is the best
    I went this year from 18th july - 1st Aug and had an amazing time
    A lot of the people i was with left but watch out for joy, sparky, dave, michael, daniel, joceline, hannah, stef and peter.
    they are great
    Beware of the chef woman because shes mean oh and arthur is a lil mean too
    You really will enjoy yourself ;D
