no, it's really easy and fun to learn to
there's nothing really stressful about Biology
the difficult thing i found is to try to understand a completely new concept first and then apply them to questions
also practical work is not really that hard, i got an U on my first practical ever and on my AS i got an A
so in the end it all comes down to how much efforts you put into your study

I've just finished AS Biology, Chemistry, Psychology and Maths. And tbh Biology isn't as difficult as chemistry and Biology according to my teachers is the easiest science in terms of difficulty. However, the amount of information that is needed to be learnt (for the OCR new spec at least) is huge imo. It took me ages before the exam but that was probably because i didnt listen to the teacher during lesson!

But, as far as Biology and Psychology go, i found psychology easier than biology, mainly because it made more sense at the time, and i had to listen to the scary teachers!!

:eek3: Love the subject of biology

Exams really all depend on the exam board

AQA was a bit  in exams and mocks at times

    OCR looks alot easier

(I have a revision book that covers all exam boards  )

I found AS Biology (AQA) too easy. (Of course, I haven't had results yet,)
A lot of just seemed to be going into slightly more detail about things we'd covered in GCSE. Too dull for words; I plan on dropping it promptly.

Spec A or B? oh wait you probably did the new Spec anyway. Old spec definitely wasn't the same as GCSE. The new spec A is heavily Disease and Pathogen related.

For me history and english lit were a walk in the park compared to Bio. Don't take it unless you're science/maths-minded. I wasn't math minded at all and was rubbish but I find that those who do well in Math tend to excel in science and vice versa. I was more of an arts girl and tried my hardest on biology and neglected my other subjects for it and still got an E. I was a lil annoyed because normally I'm an A/B student.

Though don't get me wrong, I nearly killed myself getting a B in History. It was soooooo hard. But more doable than Bio.

I enjoyed Biology at A-level a lot, like the topics we did and practicals etc but the exams are a *****!!! I'm really good at remembering content but rubbish at applying it to questions which is basically what Biology is. I'm hopefully going to study it at uni but waiting for results on thurs which i don't think will be good (especially biology). History is a ***** though!
