Was Baden-Powell (the Scout guy) a paedophile?

I'm just wondering. I've been told he was, but am not so sure. Is there any evidence either way.
i'm not interested if he was gay or not - just if he was a paedophile.

Never been reported as far as i know though i dont think it would make pleasant reading, one of our nations "greatest ever" with a twisted mind. Hmm.

on a side note can anyone remember his full name?

Ummm...Lord? I have also heard this, can't remember where, but I thought it was a generally known sort of thing - maybe not!

I also heard Lewis Carroll was - is that true?

Hard to know if he really was or not - attitudes were rather different then I expect. There seems to be little to suggest he had sex with boys anyway.

In the olden days, "paedophile" innocently meant "child lover" so people could love children and be paedophiles without all the negative connotations it has today.

Times have changed and you can't look at pic of naked children. take a look at art. many painters used images of naked children in there work, they had to look at something, and photos were not around then. dose this make them paedophiles for having children pose for them???? i don't think so
