Hi i got a N/a in higher music and i had turned up for the exam and hour late. I did sit the exam and the examiner said i might not get the exam. Anyway i was looking at the certificate and it says that i achieved a level 6 for all areas of the course however there was no grade beside them. Does this mean i would have passed and i was disqualified or is it just the level that i sat. Thanks

That's just the NAB's that you've sat and passed.

How come you were late for the exam? If it is mitigating circumstances then there may be some come back. Talk to your school, they should be able to advise, if they have discounted the mark for the exam the exam board may let you resit it and add that to the scores you already had. I guess it all depends on the reason why you were late, if you just slept in then i don't fancy your chances.

Your performance in the prelim counts as the nab, and composing is an ongoing type nab - the two compositions you hand in around easter count as a pass or a fail, although I've never known anyone to fail it. Although I'm not entirely convinced they care about nabs, I didn't complete any of them this year (AH) and I was still allowed to sit the course and got an A.

Do you have a valid reason for being late? If so, appeal.
If not, you could ask the school to enter you into the exam next year without sitting the course again.
