    Post in the Maths forum?

    Multiply through by x initally to get rid of the fraction giving

    ax=b-x

    Group all the x terms together, and do something to help you reduce the two x terms to one...

    Spoiler:
    Show
    ax + x = b

    Spoiler:

    Take out a common factor
