Has anyone on here had any experience of the Tesco Student Transfer Service??
I was just wondering how likely it will be to actually get a transfer?? Is it just the same chance as if you were a applying to a store for the first time? Would they only consider you for positions that they would be recruiting for anyway or can they "create" a position for you?
Also how worthwhile is it to transfer to your old (hometown) store during Christmas Holidays? Cos they are only like 3 weeks long!!
Ta very much!!

Its very much worth while, you'll make the most money over christmas.
Not experienced tesco but when i've asked for transfers from work i've been transfered in under a week and many of my mates also. You're 100% more likely than if you was to simply apply as someone who had no job.

My brother does it all the time. Very efficient.

Me and another person at our store did it the proper way through Debut and it's just horrendous. I'm going on Saturday and applied about a month and a half ago and have heard nothing. They give you numbers to ring but they all go through to an answerphone message that tells you to look online but there isn't anything online. Don't bother doing it through Debut. My store manage is contacting stores for me instead.
