hi i did As in math, f math, business, physics this year with predicitions of A's and high B's

i want to continue business and math defo, and want to do a combined degree in these in 2010

i feel like doing all 4 at A Level but my tutor is adiment i should drop 1.
i was also thinking of maybe doing an As in economics and dropping physics maybe to help with my uni choice (as above)

do u guys think i should do all 4, only 3 (drop f math or physics?) or do 3 A level with As economics?

    cheers Lee

If you think that you can manage all four and do well in them then go for it but it's not necessary and you'd be more than comfortable with good grades in only three of them. No university expects their candidates to have more than three A-Levels and their standard offers are usually based upon that. Unless you actually want to go into Economics then again, an AS in it is unnecessary. If your tutor recommends that you only take three then you should probably only take three. As far as university is concerned, it's much better to get three good grades than four poor ones and there's no point in you putting extra pressure on yourself unless you are really desperate to keep all of your subjects.

depends on what you think you can manage

but dropping physics to do AS economics sounds like a good plan

but the flexibility in doing four allows you to drop one should you need to later on in the course! on the other otherhand economics would give you better preparation for uni! Actually I would go for that option as some uni may accept two As instead of 1 alevel should you want to drop a subject plus physic may be more harder and economic is related to your course.
