i am starting at loughborough in september and i currently have my lifeguard qualification and my swimming instructor asa level one. i was wondering if anyone knew if there would be any opportunities for me to do my gym instructor qualification and swimming instructor level two whilst i am at loughborough? does the uni run or organise any of these courses and what are the chances of me getting them partly / fully funded? if anyone had any info it would be appreciated! thanks.

chances of getting them funded are about... zero.

the uni is massively oversubscribed for people with NPLQ and ASA qualifications, I've been waiting for work at the uni pool all year.

Basically, the Gym Instructor courses are run at the College across the road, and I think the Swim ones are done through the uni. As has been said, don't come to Loughborough witht he intention of working at the pool/sports facilities unless you have something to really set you apart.

On the other hand, if you have holiday work, you might be able to speak to them, and get them to partially fund the courses, which you then take while at uni.
