    Hey everyone,

I apologise in advance if this question has been asked before, but I was wondering if anyone knew whether 1st, 2nd, 3rd years and post grads are in separate blocks/corridors or not.

I applied late so got stuck with Studio Ensuite I'm quite sociable, but don't want to be the only Fresher with 6 other Postgrads (no offence to ya' post grads, just don't fancy being the odd one out).

Has anyone had any experience with Studio Ensuite flats in their first year? And are more places in accomodation freed up when the A Level results come out and some people loose their places in nottingham? It's just I'm debating asking to change to just an Ensuite...

Sorry about the 101 questions, thanks guys!

Think the studio ensuites are mainly populated by non-first years, and since all those rooms will probably be in a block together...

    Purely guess work, though.

I'd be very surprised if they didn't 'separate' (so to speak) the first years from other years. What with Week One and all the other fresher events being potential disruptions to students from other years who may not want to go through all that **** again.

Well postgrads stay there for 51 weeks of the year, as we don't get the summer break all you undergrads do, so I'd be very suprised if they mix UG and PG. But I dcan't see that they would particularly separate UG's in different years of their degree, I think they simply wouldn't have enough different blocks with rooms of the available types for it to be at all feasable.

I was in a shared kitchen ensuite flat for two years... first year I was in a flat with freshers, but there were Postgrad and Returners flats in our block. Second year, same - I was in a Returners/PG flat, but the rest of our block were Freshers. I think they only segregate the flats rather than the blocks as a whole (with the ensuite shared kitcehn flats). Areas like Lower Court tended to be entirely PG from what I could tell, though.

Don't hate on all the PG's, I can't wait for all this Week One stuff since I missed out on all of it at my home university being an off campus student for 4 years! I actually -hope- there is a mix of all students it makes things interesting at least in my eyes anyways!
