    Soul Calibur 2 - Hubris

Absolutely beautiful, I've been learning to play the piano reprise.

The Wind Waker's ending credits too.

    This is also awesome.

Credit is due for the composers involved with Metal Gear Solid and Metroid too.

Blinx- The Timesweeper is a good looking game although frustrating to actually play.

My choice of great song (i.e. including vocals) specifically written for a videogame is:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PiYuq6Ac3a0 War- Never been so much fun (Cannon Fodder- Amiga)- Ironic title you see (well, lots of people didn't see).

These are all from Jet Set Radio (Dreamcast)/or Jet Set Radio Future (Xbox):

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Xte0...eature=related Statement of Intent
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1MFpy-yw9G0 Birthday Cake (Live)
    http://www.youtube.com/results?searc...rch_type=&aq=f - I Love Love You
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=shy2cDw8s9c Aisle 10 (Hello Alison)
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pjGkHDTPHJg Rengades of Funk
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rs3cf9z_BpE Let Mom Sleep

Not the best tune in the series by any means but a memorably annoying one:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1-9my0tsutw Curse of Monkey Island (PC)- A pirate I was meant to be (The song starts at 2.47)

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RcP91tQ4ZSM Donkey Kong 64 (N64)

And, of course, there's a well known song from Conker's Bad Fur Day (N64).

There have been some great instrumentals in videogame music:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=93nIljXpqUY Monty on the run (This is an incredible achievement on the Commodore 64- what a great composition. Listen to all those different effects and the layering of them. The great composers would have been proud of this one- seriously)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jl6kjAkVw_s Lots to choose from with Sonic. Green Hill Zone from the first game is very memorable. Here's Sonic 2 (Megadrive)- Casino Nights

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S6YhT...om=PL&index=42 World of Illusion -Megadrive (lovely work throughout on this game in all aspects)

There isn't much on You Tube for the Megadrive game Puggsy but it has some great music (as well as puzzles and graphics).

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D65TT5Ieb4M Donkey Kong Country (SNES)- Aquatic Ambience. Like a forerunner to the Phenadra Drifts theme from Metroid Prime in part.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GLjMPx_3yno Superfrog (Amiga)- such crystal clear sound. This is a great soundtrack.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2C3m5Lno_20 Banjo Kazooie (N64)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0lK6MDhT7qI Metroid Prime (Gamecube) -Phenandra Drifts- This is gorgeous work, particularly in the context of the more dramatic music throughout the game e.g:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QQCZI...eature=related Metroid Prime (Gamecube) -Magmoor Caverns

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nEp2pasUwB4 Super Mario Sunshine (Gamecube)-Delfino Plaza

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AvRSu...eature=related The Wind Waker (Gamecube)- Outset Island

is obviously Phantom from Unreal Tournament

    This was better from UT

can't stop listening to the menu theme now

it makes me all excited and on edge for some reason..ahh a misspent youth in UT clans XD

Ahh UT has such good music to destroy people too, most games now you have to play yourown stuff in the background to get in the mood.

Surpirsed still alive from portal hasn't been mentioned more, not a fav of mine, but was under the impression it was uber popular.

I can't think of my fav ever song from a vidyagame though
