A 29 day fast you mean. And it did happen before, last ramadhan if I remember correctly. Also, it did happen at the time of Rasool Allah (saw), where a man, from a city had fasted with the peole of the city 1 day after the people of medina started fasting. He then came to fast in medina that ramadhan, but then noticed when they celebrated eid, that they had fasted 30 days while he fasted only 29. He asked the prophet (saw) about this, and the prophet (saw) said to him celebrate eid with us, then the next day, fast and extra day if you want.

so brov, if you r really concerned, do as the man did, and fast after eid (on monday), standard! I'm p;anning to fast six days of shawwal anyway.
