    Hi

I got a quote of £1300 from the AA but there was another quote of £735 from a company called Quinn direct. Both these companies have bad reviews etc.. Is it better to choose the AA for £500 more? Or should i just take the cheapest quote. I heard the AA just acts as a kind of broker and another company will deal with any of my potential claims.

    Thanks

It depends if you have the money for the dearer insurance, I had no problems with Virgin car insurance but recently switched to Yes car insurance because I saved a fortune. It's tricky with insurance you only get problems when you actually need to claim which can be an absolute nightmare, and something you can't predict. I would check a few more websites and read a few more reviews, ask you family and friends who they have had good experiences with.

My dad is an insurance broker and wouldn't let my sister go with Quinn Direct because the cover wasn't great.

As Jasmine said, ask around friends and family and read lots of reviews!
