    Yes, monthly age difference. And though I think that initially there would tend to be a difference between those born in September (oldest) and those in August (youngest), by year 11 the effect should be outweighed by having the same number of years in education. Interestingly in the 11+ your age is taken into account and younger students get an advantage, but that is 5 years earlier so I guess they don't think the effect is insignificant at that age.
