How many hours do you have to be at the university to attend the lectures? Is it possible to find a part-time job?
Are there any job opportunities for students at the university or in the area?
Has anyone studied at imperial and had a part-time job at the same time?

I beleive that it is possible to work at the same time you study at the university, but i was wondering whether there are part-time jobs for students and how much could a student earn from a part-time job(15 hours per week)in london near imperial?

I had a lot of mates working part-time in pubs mostly. That would be around 4-5 hours a night usually minimum wage so they'd get something like 600 pounds a month.

It's definitely possible, you are however sacrificing your free time which some people do need.

Uni times at least for mech eng were a bit much first and second year. Something like 9-17 usually.

Easy to find, but I wouldn't recommend it! Especially during your first year (unless you are a medic, they seem to have lots of spare time). Try at the union, local restaurants, museums, etc. I don't think the low wage is worth it though.

A better plan would be to concentrate on your studies and find a summer job, maybe even do a UROP at Imperial.
