    I was just wondering, how many people actually use personal accounting software to keep track of their incomings and outgoings? Examples include GNUCash, QuickBooks, etc.

    If you do, do you find it useful? Also, which one do you use?

    (Wouldn't this be more appropriate in Money & Finance?)

    I use a Calc spreadsheet, but don't do it obsessively - just seeing that I have sufficient money to last through the term, not recording down to every penny.

    I made myself a simple excel spreadsheet recently to keep an eye on my savings at uni. Not too accurate but hopefully it will help.
