Hi, does anyone have any tips on what to put on UCAS forms which are going to be submitted for entry to the medical field. By 'tips' I mean anything that could boost chances of getting into med school i.e. any extra-curricular activities. Thanks for any replies

There's lots of things you could put... BUT dont lie as they could ask you in your interview about your hobby. For example if you said you ski. they could ask you have you ever arranged a trip to a resort or even ask you how long youve done it for. so just bear in mind if you tell little white lies, make sure you research it first!

What laurie93 said...definately dont lie. Especially if you're going to try to gain a place at a top uni. And if they interview. Honestly do you not have any hobbies???

Have you had a look at the medicine PS writing advice on the wiki?

Essentially, you should write about YOU. Why you want to do medicine, how you found out about it and what you learnt from that, why you believe you'd be a great doctor (and evidence for that, e.g. great team player, shown by captaincy of first XI) and about you as a person and your interests, whatever they are.

It's not what you do, it's how you're able to relate it to medicine AND that it demonstrates you have a personality and a healthy work-life balance.

Hmmm, if you can write about what you learnt from them, and any of your skills they demonstrated or developed (if any!). Attendance on such a course (am thinking in particular of Medlink) by itself shows nothing other than the size of your wallet and that's neither here not there.
