HTC Desire HD is still out on Vodafone on October 14th. It's only the SIM free handset that has been pushed back.
I might swap to Voda, I've been on o2 for ages but it doesn't look like they're getting the Desire HD.

Does this mean, with the release of the Desire HD, that the Desire will be going down in price?
I'm getting bored of my Hero!

You mean the screen size? I considered the desire (besides the price), I thought it would have been too large :o:

    No, the resolution/pixel density.

The size is barely smaller than my phone.

Is it just me that thinks the W7P range is pretty pish?
Not a big fan of the OS either.

I actually really like the consistency between Apps, but I'm not a major fan of the tiles, I think I'd get really fed up of it. So I'm still on track for a Desire HD I think.

Yeah If you look at Engadget review of specs. All the HTC phones are practically identical. I think they need to stop releasing so many phone. And like you said nothing really that interesting, UI seems pretty bland imo.

The UI seems extremely dry for the W7 phone
I was actually looking forward to this phone as the new BB was a flop too.

I don't really have a problem with the resolution/pixel density on my Wildfire, the zoom function works well for Web browsing and everything else seems perfectly clear... the only thing that annoys me is that I can't use certain apps due to the size of the screen (Skype, for instance).

Dropbox is quite good if you install it on your computer as well - it's basically a web-based pen drive you can access from anywhere. Barcode Scanner and Google Shopper are pretty cool too.
