Ah, it's not too far off tbh. Feb sometime, though I may wait until May when my contract actually expires to see if I can get a better deal. I'm gunna tell Orange I want unlimited data with 3 and there's probably nothing they can do to stop me leaving.
Don't count on resolving any problems with 3's customer service :ahee:

Does anyone know if the Motorola Defy is any good? It's Android and 'life proof' (semi-rugged)?

Sounds like a good phone, but I was wondering if anyone had any first hand experience of it?

The popular opinion on my home forum is that the defy is an excellent device. it's rather chunky owing to it's environmental protection, but it gets excellent battery life and can be overclocked to (apparently) over 1500MHz, making it extremely nippy.

additionally, apparently the phone's waterproofing is so good that it works underwater! don't try this!

I'm a user for the defy as well - if I'm not mistaken most of those who overclock only do so until about 1100, or at the very most 1300 to maintain stability.

I suppose it would work underwater but I've also heard of someone testing out its "underwater capabilities" but didn't have one of the seals plugged right - ruining his phone. Just something to keep in mind

Also, the touchscreen won't work underwater, just to note

With that said I think it has really good bang for buck though

I have both an android phone and a tablet and love the os. The only thing I have a slight complaint about is the firmware version on my tablet has a delightful problem where is loses the ability to download and install apps from the market after 2/3 days. They are however working on fixing this issue.

In simple terms? Google copied Oracle's Java code, pasted in a new license, and shipped it.
