Thanks but neither seem to be quite what I was looking for. I want to be write on/edit the widget on the fly. Might not even be possible. Seems like one of the specialist apps for the Note to be honest.

AFAIK widgets can't be actively "used" until ICS. You can merely click elements of them in previous versions (unless you have certain launchers like Sense or LPP and even then it's only their specific widgets that allow it).

GO Note Widget has a drawing function. It is set to 2x2 in size, but if your launcher allows you to force resize everything you can make it fullscreen.
That'd be great if they allowed Go Widgets on other launchers :/ Thanks anyway.

Yeah I'm on AOSP ICS (CM9).
ICS is fairly... scarce atm. I'm not confident any dev will have made this.

Question... why not just have an app on your homescreen then launch it from there? Surely it wouldn't take very long to load it up..

Nova launcher should help you here. It's on the Play Store. Root will help you more though...

I do have that at the moment; just feel it'd be a nicer experience if it was actually part of my homescreen A lot of things on our phones could be done with a few more clicks but why would we want that!?

What device are you using? Do you want to edit text or draw on the surface?

Just out of curiosity, do you know if SE are going to release any more of their Xperia mini pro range any time soon?

I've been off the android for a year, and been on blackberry. As much as I love my blackberry I just miss all the apps that are available on the android, also the sluggish android system, and the fact it never sent all of my text was annoying as well, but I'm willing to give it another try but not htc. Also I would a touch / type one, do any of you know if there is any going to be released in the near future?

It's quite an old phone now, released in 2010 possibly? all the phones now have things like 1GHz r cpu and things like that now, so if your comparing it to phones now it's quite old and slow and possibly explain why it's so sluggish.

I'm not sure what phones are out there, at the moment but the heavily advertised brand new, just released ones are HTC One X and things like that and if your set on the galaxy I believe the Galaxy s3 is coming out soon if your willing to wait.

Yeah... the Wildfire was never a good phone.

As above, HTC One X/S or wait and see if the SGS3 is any good.
