my motorola milestone has started doing certain things quite slowly, for example when i want to send a text and type in a few letters of the person's name in the to box it takes an age to respond, where as when i got it a couple of months ago it was rapid! I've tried deleted my texts, and deleted apps that take up loads of space...

Any ideas? it's really pissing me off :/
Try downloading "Advanced Task Killer" and see if there are loads of apps running.

That being the case, I'd probably just reset your phone and start again.

It ended up not being able to switch on and loading for 45 minutes on the android screen... so i took it to the shop to get repaired.

1.4.1 OC @ 710 is up now. I'm seriously considering it, though I may wait for an update which is based on optimisations rather than bug fixes first.

Yes but my post was more about how slow HTC are. I mean, we still don't have 2.1 yet there are roms out there with 2.2...

    Nice.

FYI guys, the Cronos Android 2.1 ROM v1.4.1 over on XDA works beautifully. It's smooth as a 1.5 ROM, is stable as anything. Very well cooked tbh. Yet to test battery life, but we could well be on to a winner with this ROM.

Hi guys, just a quick question, i'm currently on 1.5 on a T-mobile g2 touch. Been having issues with the default youtube app. Every time I want to play a video it keeps saying:

    Cannot play video
Sorry, this video cannot be played.

I must point out that i'm running off my home wifi network and I get these errors. When I run off my mobile internet it is fine. Are there any fixes for this issue or is it a problem with 1.5 itself?

    I really appreciate some assistance.
    Thanks

For us Hero users, will we be getting the 2.1 or 2.2 update in June/July?

2.2 already runs on the Hero.

Also, anyone who wants 2.1, it's now available over on the XDA forums.

That depends entirely on your phone at the moment. Assuming you're on the official 1.5 ROM...

    1) Follow the steps described here:
    http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=645253

You only need to do section 1 so far.

Now, download the ROM from here (ignore the suggestion in Step 2 of the guide): http://www.multiupload.com/EOT2YJ2HVO

Now follow step 2 of the guide et voila, done. Once back in Android, do the initial set up, leave it 5 mins, then reboot your phone again.

It's unlikely that anything will go wrong in this process. The instructions must be followed to the letter. This will invalidate your warranty.
