    What's wrong with Cronos 1.5?
    I dunno, not tried it.
But, as the official release has not been released there are bound to be a few imperfections..
MoDaCo waits for the official release and build upon it so you know it will be stable/fast/etc.

I may end up trying Chronos though.

You should give it a go. It is totally worth it. Had the odd freeze on 1.4.1 (only had 1.5 since this morning so can't really say if that still happens), but otherwise you'd swear it's an official build.

Why don't you guys try Villainrom 6.2 which includes a new custom kernal from Kendon?

It uses the Droid Eris base now instead of Sprint Hero.

I can't say for ahero, but feeyo has said cronos doesn't use the same kernel as villlain.

Don't want to switch because I can't be doing with another wipe!

You could probably flash the kernal over your current Chronos.
I did that with Lightspeed over whatever comes with MCR.

    No need to be honest.

There's a new radio available for the Hero. Also, 2.1 is out in Taiwan.

You can download it now if you really wanted to, though I'd personally wait for it to be rooted...

Haven't been massively impressed by Android since getting my Nexus One so I've just ordered a Blackberry as a free upgrade :p:

I find it amusing that you'd consider a Blackberry an "Upgrade" to be honest! :p:

Well I went from iPhone OS to Android, which most people would consider weird. I wasn't impressed with Android and I got bored of iPhone OS after 18 months, I'm just trying another mobile OS, it was free so what's the harm?

No harm, we just can't believe it :P
I came from extensive use of jailbroken iPhone OS on an iPt 2G and I also got bored of it, still use it for games though.
Luckily my rooted Hero still satisfies me I think I'll stick to Android for a while
