Do you believe in the phrase "friend zone" or do you think its just a nice way of letting down somebody you don't find attractive but still want to remain friends with?

Personally i believe the latter, that the friend zone does not exist. If a person is attracted to another person, they are not turned off because they become closer to them or more friend like.

The friend zone basically means he/she doesnt fancy you, end of. I am amazed at all the stuff people right about it on the internets, ladder theory etc, when at the end of the day, its simple, he/she just doesnt fancy you. Think about it, you dont fancy everyone do you? So you too are creating friend zones also.

Being 'friend-zoned' just means:
Person A fancies Person B, who is a close friend. Person B does not fancy Person A.

its a phrase used to describe a situation between two people - if the description fits then yes it does exist. Like friends ive had since primary school - and dont even think of them in that way - they will only ever be just friends - it would be like going out with a sister

the question is though; you dont find your friend attractive right now, but would you find them attractive if they lost weight? got a makeover? changed their moral values or outlook on life? and such...

i think thats where the "friend zone" debate lies.
