there is not much you can do unless you can get a kuwaiti friend to go on your side and take the man to court. even then, wifebeating isn't really considered a crime there is it?

but what you CAN do is to get her to go to her embassy, if she cant then YOU call the embassy (do not tell them who she is, just say she is a mauritian citizen) explain the situation but not in too much detail so that they can track her, could make things worse, and then see what they say.

we had an irish friend that was abused by her kuwaiti husband and coz her husband was kuwaiti she really couldn't do **** about it, so she spoke to the embassy, they arranged a SECOND passport for her and her kids (her husband kept their first passports), and one day when the family was away on holiday she took them and used the new passports to flee

'course its a crime here aswell!! Else who cares!? well i need to get this person's address before i can do anything, n got alot of kuwaiti frends here, but i need a away to find out the address...any ideas?

hey guys,
i really need help here it can save sumone's life..a teacher of mine has his wife grounded n has confiscated her passport back to her country n is mentally torturing her by staying late out @ nites n then coming back home n tell her tht he got affair with this n tht n he sleeps around!! N he recently ( 2,3 weeks i guess) started giving her drugs tht make her lose her senses so tht she doesnt go out n complain..she did tht once n she really neeeds helps...
what do i do here? i dn knw where they live but i really want to help i have tried looking for search pages but invain
oh by the way m fron kuwait so dn post any 1800 numbers coz tht wont help!

First of all, how did you know about this? It's not a disbelief question, it's just maybe the person who told you might be able to do something or sth like that?

How did he ground her in the first place? It would only seem sensible to me if she had left him to stay at someone's place if her husband was being that horrible in the first place. From what you are saying, her life is potentially at stake and it is important that she gets helped from the police asap. You really should phone up the police. And is he stil teacher at your school? The school would certainly have his address. If the school is kept from the dark, you really should tell another reliable teacher in school about this so the school can contact the authorities and work together to solve this crisis. And as soon as possible as it's quite serious and the poor woman needs to be saved.

what school does he work for? PM me the name of the school if you want, I can find out where the teachers live, but make sure you are sure it isnt just a stupid rumour.

well she did try to escape once, n thts why he keeps her under drugs now :frown:

i m thinking to getting to skol n taking the address but they will ask me alot of questions n i dn knw if they will givfe me the address or not, prolly i will make up some story abt it n get the add. coz m sure tht no one at the skool knws whats going on..n i vcant contact the polic without getting the addy coz thts the first thing they would want

hey, they dont take u here by ur nationality, you could even sue a kuwaiti but u need evidence for tht! which is why i need the addy
