So has anyone got any opinions on the current conflict. Like the fact Russia is trying to legalise it by saying it is a antiterrorism conflict and to do so they cycle through their police. Their police then get mentally screwed and go back to their normal jobs. but there is fallout e.g. the bloke who pulled his gun and started shooting at civilians as he heard someone speak in Muslim.

Every state or any other entity involved considers what it does as being 'counter terrorism'. Although it is truly dreadful for one to start any kind of shooting, one aimed specifically at those speaking 'Muslim' is likely to be relatively harmless

There's probably plenty of alright chechans, but most of the chechans IN Russia act like the scum they are... basically they take but they don't give anything. They don't want anything to do with Russia apparently, but then why the hell are they absolutly everywhere that money can be made in Russia... taxes aren't a significant part of it, most russians don't pay either, the problem is their attitude, they go there, once they made a bit of money and they're acting like they own the fking place... Russians don't like chechans.

Of course Russia's war on terrorism is as much a war on terrorism as Iraq... half the buggers are in Russia already... they can't stop the terrorism. Russia's just got a bone to pick with Chechnya, what exactly they intend to accomplish is however even less clear than with Iraq.
