Yet another all nighter...

Yes, I've stayed up all night for no particular reason again - I wasn't even revising.

I have a feeling that this isn't too good for me, seeing as I do it several times a month and have all of my exams between Monday and Wednesday next week. I won't be able to concentrate today either, as I'll be suffering from sleep deprivation. Bugger.

Anyone else suffer from the same 'Can't be arsed to go to sleep' syndrome?

Wait. your reason is "you cant be arsed". Is there anything more lazy, and less requiring of effort than sleeping?

"I cant be arsed to sit on my arse and watch TV all day, I think I'll go and run a marathon!"

The man has a point
Wow, I can't be arsed to do anything other than sleep! I've just had 9 hours of sleep and want more :frown: I got woken up by the stupid builders who want to paint outside my room, but can't reach it, so they had to come in my bedroom :frown: Might have to have a nap downstairs

Surely if you know that you need to get some sleep and you don't wanna mess up your exams, you could just go lie in bed and maybe you'll just fall asleep? Or am I just being naive?
Warm milk is good.
I have a tip if you want to sleep.

Put a bath on to run, go on a ten minute run (roughly twice round your block), come back, turn your bath off. Warm yourself up some milk (this takes two seconds - put a tiny amount of water in the bottem so that you dont end up with spunky resiues to clean off) - you can put vanilla essence or anything which wont give you energy (i.e. sugar).
Go and relax in the HOT bath for half an hour and drink your warm milk. Make sure your bath is as hot as you can bear it. Dont get out until you feel lethargic.
Get out and sleep IMMEDIATELY.

I find it helps to have the radio on. Something like Radio 5 is good as they talk about current affairs irreverantly.

Do NOT eat a mssive meal in the evening.

Lol. It's a fair sized bath actually.
If you just put hot water on, not too fast, and ask your mum to keep an eye on it.
Or put it on when you come back from your run, and put the bath on whilst you warm up your milk!
Late response (I actually fell asleep at about 7am and woke up at 6pm ), but I've been an insomniac for as long as I can remember, so going to sleep is like a chore for me, unfortunately. Plus, I tend to sleep for a very very long time after falling asleep (as you can see from above), so there's an element of fear in there as well: If I go to sleep, I'll not wake up until the afternoon/evening and waste the entire day, so why risk it by going to bed?

Vicious cycle, hmm?

Or just go take a sleeping pill.

I used to watch snooker to send me too sleep, and golf.

I used to find it really hard to sleep when I was younger, I dont know why. Didnt help after nightmare on elm street mind you..
I tried sleeping pills for a week and, somewhat alarmingly, they failed to have any effect except to make my limbs feel like they were moving through glue.

Believe me, I've tried everything possible and nothing works. I think my sleep rhythm is just out of sync with everyone else's. i.e. I sleep during the day and stay awake in the night...unless I have college to go to.

Your sleep-wake cycles Out of sync.. Ah well.. at least you could be a great cat burglar for a future career option...?
