Student Life in Aberystwyth
Aber is a lively seaside town where its close-knit community means you'll make friends in no time and have loads of opportunities to get involved in local activities or initiatives.
It has one of the highest numbers of pubs per square mile, so you’ll never be short of somewhere to go with your mates. There's plenty of boutique shops, cafés and coffee shops to hang out in too, if pubs aren’t your thing.
You don't have to travel far to be in the "great outdoors" where you can explore the stunning Welsh landscape and when the weather’s good the beach is the place to be - if you’re lucky you might even see dolphins!
If you’re feeling cultural you can visit the Aberystwyth Arts Centre (based on campus), National Library of Wales, Aberystwyth Castle or take a trip on the cliff railway.
And not to forget the wide range of Aber SU events, support services, sports clubs and societies too!
