Celebrating its 50th birthday in 2016, Brunel can trace its roots back to 1798 through its predecessor colleges. It’s also a campus university which makes it unique in London and gives you the opportunity to experience the big city without any of the downsides. Inspired by its namesake, Isambard Kingdom Brunel, the University takes a creative and entrepreneurial as well as academic approach, so you’ll be encouraged to take work experience or a placement year as part of your course.
Brunel is wonderful. I'm having such a great time there because the whole atmosphere is fun, social and really really uplifting. There's always something for everyone and you get to do things you've never done so it does really help you to grow into the person you want to be.

Gemma, Khushboo and Laura are here to answer your questions about student life, your application and the university.
Join us for an Open Day or Applicant Day to see the campus for yourself, get hands on with your chosen subjects, see all our first-class facilities, accommodation and the rest of what our London campus has to offer. Our Open Days and Applicant Days run throughout the year, as well as separate campus tours dates if you are unable to make an Open Day.
Our Open Days run from 9am – 3pm and dedicated parking will be available when you arrive. The campus is also easily accessible via public transport and there will be a free shuttle bus service to collect those who arrive from the local train station. There will be plenty of places across campus open to buy refreshments and lunch throughout the day.
Parents and guests are welcome to attend and do not require a separate ticket.

Student Life in Uxbridge
At Brunel you’ll have all the benefits of a campus university while still being within easy distance of London; the best of both worlds. There’s a bar and a nightclub on campus, and nearby Uxbridge has its own fair share of nightlife too. On campus you’ll have access to world class sporting facilities (Usain Bolt trains here), and all of the uni’s sports clubs are open to all students regardless of ability - so whether you’re playing competitively or for fun you’ll be welcome to get involved. If sport isn’t your thing there’s also a spa for you to unwind in.

There are regular buses into Uxbridge. Wembley Stadium is only 25 minutes away on the tube, and Central London 45 minutes.
At AOK we love to do acts of kindness for others. We believe that by doing so, we can change someone's life for the better and bring ourselves joy from doing it! AOK is a society open to everyone :)
We teach the skills to survive a zombie apocalypse from knowing basic medical skills, to knowing how to handle live weapons safely whilst still being kick ass.
LOVE cosmetics? Or maybe you just want to try something new? Want to have fun improving your beauty skills/learn tips and tricks with like-minded people? Bored of standard makeup routines? The Brunel Entrepreneurs Society welcomes students from all backgrounds and courses to spread the entrepreneurial spirit. They provide members with a platform to promote themselves, developing a strong personal network of student and corporate contact, as well as resources and advice to help kick-start your ideas, businesses and other projects whilst you study at Brunel.
The Storytellers Society is a group dedicated to encouraging aspiring novelists, poets and storytellers to be imaginative and embrace their creative side and to write their own stories. Our aim as a society is to encourage a friendly community of writers at Brunel University with relaxed meetings that offer a little time away from the usual drudgery of the day where writing is a recreation.
