Buckinghamshire New University became a university in 2007, and offers a number of unusual courses such as Air Transport with Commercial Pilot Training. Known as Bucks, it has campuses in High Wycombe, Uxbridge and Aylesbury. You’ll have access to modern, state-of-the-art facilities including dance studios, healthcare simulation labs, production suites and an Elite S812 flight simulator (for the piloting students).
Young in outlook, but well established in the fields we specialise in, we offer high quality, professionally-driven university courses, in everything from nursing and health and social care, to sports, textiles and aviation.

Student Life in High Wycombe
Studying is a major part of university life. But it’s not the only part, by any stretch.
At Bucks, you can look forward to some great socialising, a diverse mix of events and societies, and top-notch facilities as well. And our Students’ Union is one of the most popular in the country, so there’s always loads going on there to keep you occupied when you’re not in the library or lecture hall.
The High Wycombe Campus has everything you need including bars, cafes and live music venues. The Students' Union offer the 'Big Deal', which gives you free access to entertainment and events, free sports, and free access to societies, so you’ll never have to make any tough choices between going to an event and buying that crucial textbook. If you fancy a trip off campus, the town has restaurants and bars, shops, a theatre and a bowling alley. And of course, there’s the added bonus that London’s really close by, so you can get in to the capital, and experience big city life, whenever you want.
Hughenden Park Student Village is located approximately fifteen minutes walk away from the High Wycombe Campus. Rooms are either en suite with a shared kitchen-diner in flats of six, or studio rooms with a built in kitchenette. All rooms have a WiFi and Ethernet internet connection.
Windsor House is located right in the centre of High Wycombe and just a five minute walk from the University. Rooms are either en suite with a shared kitchen-diner in flats of six, or studio rooms with a built in kitchenette. All rooms have a WiFi and Ethernet internet connection.
Brook Street Halls of Residence are situated a five minute walk away from the High Wycombe Campus. Brook Street accommodation comprises of flats of between six and ten bedrooms; each flat shares a kitchen-diner, two shower rooms and two toilets. Each room has its own washbasin and internet access.
There is also a bus which runs between the University's High Wycombe and Uxbridge campuses and is free for students. For more information click here.
The Gaming Society aims to provide the equipment, facilities and atmosphere to take part part in many types of games, from board games to console gaming.
From spinning plates to fire poi, Circus Society is about trying something new, and honing your skills to advanced levels. Whether you’re brand new to circus skills, or a unicycling pro, the Circus Society is a great place to gain new skills, socialise with those with similar interests, and practice your talents in a safe and welcoming environment. So pick up a hula-hoop, a staff, or a diablo, and make your way to a session!
Nursoc is here to support all those interested in nursing, social and community work and seeking opportunities to have fun outside of the daily grind; organising socials, fundraising events, end of year balls and much more.
Our Society is aimed at encouraging Bucks Uni students to become more involved in informed debates. The debates which we hold are centred on relevant issues in today’s society.
The Event Society is a collective of students either studying Event courses or has an interest in attending/ hosting events. We’re a tight-knit community providing support for other members, industry connections and volunteering opportunities.
