We've been around for 60 years and are one of only a few universities situated in a World Heritage Site. Our courses offer strong routes into careers in subjects from teacher education, medicine and nursing, to games design and archaeology, engineering, policing, sport and social sciences. Many of our teaching staff continue to be active in their industries and professions. So they bring real-world expertise into their teaching. We’re among the top 20 UK universities for graduates going into employment.
You'll be taught on one of two campuses, both less than an hour from London by train with the coast and Europe within easy reach. So, whether you are based at our Canterbury Campus, right in the heart of a great student city within sight of the world-famous Canterbury Cathedral, or the historic location of Medway, you’ll enjoy high-quality teaching and outstanding modern facilities. The warm and welcoming atmosphere you’ll find here is one of the things that truly sets us apart. We want you to succeed, be happy and to express yourself. You’ll be studying in a nurturing environment where diversity, equality and individuality are part of everything we do. We are committed to working with our students to build a more sustainable future. If, like us, you care about the environment, you’ll be able to get involved with ‘Us in the World’: a collaboration between our students, staff and the Students’ Union, to embed the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDG).
