When Edge Hill was awarded University of the Year title for 2014/15, Times Higher Education described it as “a great success story ... an institution that improves and impresses year after year”. The award recognised its outstanding achievements in student satisfaction, staff engagement, graduate employment and innovation as well as its strengthening research profile, investment and growth. It also celebrated Edge Hill University’s distinct role in “transforming lives” – reflecting a distinctive philosophy of creating opportunity from excellence. Top two nationally for good environment on campus and top three nationally for high quality facilities. Top four in the North West in the Sunday Times Good University Guide 2016. Their core values lie in their wholehearted commitment to their staff, students and partners, and their constant efforts to improve in all they do. Their approach is inclusive; they celebrate diversity, and will tirelessly strive to enhance the life opportunities that a good education provides for their students.
Excellent - and well worth moving away from home for. Although it is a smaller university, it has given me the true 'uni' experience with Southport and Liverpool not too far away. Beautiful views and walks nearby. Good student support.
