We're proud to be ranked a top 50 UK university and ranked in the top 10 in the UK for five subject areas: education, nursing and midwifery, fashion and textiles, design and crafts and film production and photography. We're also ranked the top university in London for nursing and midwifery and fashion and textiles (Guardian league table 2022).
Kingston provides the ideal study location. The university is located in a student-friendly riverside town of Kingston upon Thames, that’s just 30 minutes from the centre of London.
There’s a lot happening at Kingston. Our new landmark building, Town House, located at our Penrhyn Road campus opened in January 2020 and provides outstanding study facilities for students, including a new library with over 1,000 study spaces, flexible learning areas, a covered courtyard, cafes, dance studios and roof top gardens.
You’ll be connected to a range of activities aimed to help you develop inside and outside of the classroom, from studying abroad to learning a new language with our free, Kingston Language Scheme. Some of the best things about going to university are all the clubs and societies that you can join, and at Kingston you can choose from over 100 of them.
The best way to get a feel for what it's like to live and study at Kingston University is to join us at one of our virtual Open Days. You'll get to find out more about our courses, speak to the lecturers that teach them and the students who are studying them and find out about the wide variety of support available to you, including advice on student finance and understanding the UCAS process.
