Student Life in Middlesbrough

Everything is on your doorstep at Teesside with top surf, a national park on the doorstep plus unique shopping and culture, bars and famous clubs. Their award-winning Students’ Union offers great bars, food and a top clubbing venue. Excellent sporting and study facilities with affordable accommodation are at the heart of a lively town. With art centres, theatres, museums within Middlesbrough, plus a rich variety of cultural activities on campus, there is plenty to offer students of all tastes. Teesside offer a huge and varied number of clubs and societies run by the Students' Union - everything from competitive sports such as football, rugby and golf to more specialist activities like paintballing, cheerleading and surfing. Regarding nightlife, Middlesbrough has a far-reaching reputation, offering students a wide range of bars on and off campus as well as music hall venues and a variety of clubs to suit everyone.

The university is situated in the centre of the city. With multiple frequent bus links around the city and Middlesbrough station approximately 10 minutes from the university, students will have no excuse to explore what Middlesbrough and the North-East have to offer them.
