Open days

If you're thinking about studying at Teesside, come and visit us - it's the best way to find out what it's like.

We think it's great here (obviously), but it's important to check the place out for yourself. At an open day you get the chance to:

  • chat to our staff and students about our courses
  • have a look around our lovely campus
  • meet Teesside students and ask lots of questions
  • check out our town-centre accommodation
  • see our facilities (the flight simulator and our hydrotherapy pool are pretty cool)
  • find out why our students' union wins so many awards
  • explore the local area

Find out when the next open day is by visiting our open days page or checking out the open days calendar.

Student life

Everything is on your doorstep at Teesside with top surf, a national park on the doorstep plus unique shopping and culture, bars and famous clubs. Their award-winning Students’ Union offers great bars, food and a top clubbing venue. Excellent sporting and study facilities with affordable accommodation are at the heart of a lively town. With art centres, theatres, museums within Middlesbrough, plus a rich variety of cultural activities on campus, there is plenty to offer students of all tastes. Teesside offer a huge and varied number of clubs and societies run by the Students' Union - everything from competitive sports such as football, rugby and golf to more specialist activities like paintballing, cheerleading and surfing. Regarding nightlife, Middlesbrough has a far-reaching reputation, offering students a wide range of bars on and off campus as well as music hall venues and a variety of clubs to suit everyone.

Where is Teesside?

map

Teesside University is in the centre of Middlesbrough, in North East England.

Our campus is easily accessible by car or train and is only a ten minute walk from Middlesbrough railway station. Durham Tees Valley Airport is 13 miles away. It has flight connections to many British and European airports.

With excellent rail links it's easy to travel to Middlesbrough from the rest of the UK. Local train services and a frequent bus service also make it easy for you to explore the lovely towns, villages, coast and countryside around the region.
