I have loved every minute of my course and being a student at UoC. The staff are supportive, the nights out are fun and the course is so rewarding!

I'm Simon, your official University of Cumbria Student Room representative, here to answer any questions you might have about our courses, campuses, facilities, finance, accommodation - or anything else you might want to ask about (within reason!)
So, feel free to ask away and I'll do my very best to get you the answers as quickly as I can. Looking forward to hearing from you
Attending one of our open days provides an opportunity for you and your family to see our unique campuses and meet current students and staff.
During the day you can speak one-to-one with course tutors, enjoy accommodation and city/town tours, attend subject talks and also gain advice from support staff regarding finance and fees.
To find out when the next Open Day is, take a look at the Open Day calendar here.
Student Life in Carlisle
Starting university is an exciting step in your life! At the University of Cumbria you'll have plenty to keep you busy outside of your studies with a variety of places to eat and drink, high quality on and off-campus sports facilities and many student clubs and societies to get involved in. Each of their campus locations across the country have their own unique feel. Wherever you're based, there's always something for you to get involved in, and they want you to be a part of it. Whether it’s the vibrant city of Carlisle on the edge of the Lake District, the lively heritage city of Lancaster steeped in history or the cosmopolitan culture of England’s capital, there is plenty for students to immerse themselves in.
The campuses in Carlisle, Lancaster and Ambleside have excellent transport links. They are on the West Coast mainline rail network and close to the M6 motorway. Carlisle to Lancaster is approximately one hour in a car or train. Lancaster to Manchester is just 55 mins on half hourly rail service. The campuses are compact and situated within walking distance of the city centres for students to have complete access.
A small, Friendly group. They watch any and all kinds of anime, from new to old. Want a walk down memory lane? They'll have a night Pokemon with the games and the movies! They'll have a cinematic experience with a good old Ghibli movie, the ones we all know and love.
They will be competing Nationally with both squads at the United Kingdom Cheerleading Society in Manchester and also supporting our other sports teams here at the university.
