UWE Bristol is one of the UK’s most popular universities. 28,000 students study either in Bristol or at one of its overseas partner universities. The University strives to ensure that students are equipped for the future they want – academically, professionally and emotionally. They collaborate with industry and the public sector to identify skills shortages, develop courses and provide work placements for students. A focus on real-world learning experiences means graduates are adaptable, enterprising and ready for work. And the results speak for themselves. Over 95% of UWE Bristol graduates are in work or further study six months after graduating. (Destination of Leavers from Higher Education 2018)
There are over 450 courses to choose from with teaching attracting a gold rating in the 2018 Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF), the Government’s higher education ranking system. This means the University is among a select number of UK institutions that deliver the highest quality of teaching, learning and graduation outcomes for students.
UWE Bristol’s research has impact. Many staff are leaders in their field and are helping industry and governments to make positive changes. The University’s research with Dove’s Self-Esteem Project has helped deliver body confidence education to 29 million young people in 140 countries and Pee Power has turned urine into electricity at Glastonbury Festival. Whether it’s in the classroom or working on live projects, research brings the most up-to-date thinking to students learning.
The University also gets great student ratings, coming 11th of all UK universities for overall student satisfaction and 7th of all universities in England, according to the National Student Survey (NSS) 2019.
It is a brilliant university which helps the students settle in the best way possible and the resources, lecturers and communication between the different levels are really good.
