Wrexham Glyndwr University is number one in North Wales for getting its students jobs. We achieved an employability figure of 92.1% and we’re also above the sector average for graduate level employment, according to the latest Destination of Leavers Survey (DLHE). Wrexham Glyndwr is renowned for its student support and careers zone – given its small size it offers a personal touch to every student. Wrexham Glyndwr University prides itself on its personal and community feel on campus. Their students have always found staff and lecturers approachable and don’t feel they are just a number. The uni is comprised of three campuses in North Wales - Wrexham, Northop and St Asaph. Wrexham Glyndwr University’s Students' Union won the Small and Specialist Students’ Union of the Year in NUS Wales in March 2016, and were Runner up of Small and Specialist Students’ Union in the UK in July 2016. This university has top of the range buildings, equipment and facilities at our campuses. The university invested £5 million for a new Creative Industries Building which BBC Wales, in Wrexham, has also made their home.

Earlier this year, Glyndŵr University moved into the top three universities in Wales after rising 44 places in a league table of UK universities.
Industry-led courses are at the heart of our offering. We pride ourselves on links with major local and regional employers, such as Airbus, Kellogg’s, JCB and the BBC. Their knowledge and expertise is fed back into our courses, ensuring they provide students with only the most relevant skills for 21st century industry.
Make sure you come and visit us for our next open day which takes place on Saturday, March 4, 2017.
Our open days are designed to give you taste of what it's like to study at Wrexham Glyndŵr and a chance for you to learn much more about our University, including the wide variety of degree programmes available, what our campus has to offer as well as being able to meet with course staff and current students.
Whilst most of the action will be taking place on our main campus, you'll also have the opportunity to visit our School of Creative Arts in Regent Street, and our land-based courses will be showcased at the Northop campus.

Student Life in North Wales
Your student life will be key part of your university experience and something you will always remember. Your time at university will bring many opportunities to make new friends – not just on your course but at your student accommodation, at the students’ union and through the clubs and societies you join.
If you have a sporting interest or just want to maintain a healthy lifestyle during your studies Wrexham Glyndŵr University has a wealth of sporting facilities both on-campus and nearby. Our location means that if you like outdoor activities there are plenty of opportunities to continue a sport that you enjoy or even try a new one.
If you’re seeking an energetic social life the Students’ Union will be at the heart of the action. It does everything you’d expect: organising parties, comedy nights, live music and student balls.
Beyond campus, the town centre is home to a good selection of venues ranging from traditional pubs to more modern bars and clubs - all within a short walk of each other. There is always plenty going on a new band to see or a student offer to be taken advantage of.

Wrexham Glyndwr University is less than a 10 minute walk to the train station and 15 minutes to the centre of town. The bright lights of Liverpool and Manchester are just an hour away. Located just off the A483, we have excellent links to all major road routes in the North West, as well as an extensive bus network across North Wales, North West England and the Midlands. Wrexham also has great railway connections, with two main stations that run direct services to Chester, Holyhead and the North Wales Coast, Shrewsbury, Birmingham and Cardiff. You can also be in London in just over two and a half hours, Edinburgh in just over four, and Dublin in under six.

The Equine Science and Welfare Management degree is among a very select number in the UK, focusing on the relationship between horse and human, increasingly seen as central to the equestrian industry’s development. Based at our rural Northop campus, with access to excellent equestrian facilities, the degree builds on the university’s strong record of teaching in behavioural and equine science.
Are you innovative, creative, and interested in architecture? Are you technologically minded, with an interest in how to make buildings work? If so you could be the architectural technologist of the future. This interactive course, which is fully accredited by the Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists (CIAT) and the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB), offers opportunities both for people with an interest in design, or an interest in building technology (or both). You will work together in the design studio, the computer suite, and the classroom to bring key design principles and flair together with technological innovation to produce sustainable buildings for the present and the future. Mixing both individual and group work, you will use logic and constructive feedback to discuss ideas and develop solutions to design problems. This degree is designed to support your development to be an invaluable asset to the architecture, design, and construction industries.
Developing key skills and sound knowledge for a successful career in aircraft industries, as well as in a variety of modern engineering sectors, these courses benefit from strong industrial links and is designed to fulfil industries’ requirements. The courses are focused on design. You’ll develop a full understanding of engineering design concepts and the engineering design process. You can explore radical new aeronautical and aerospace concepts and complement this with expertise in mechanical engineering to produce designs. In addition to specialist knowledge and skills in aeronautical engineering, this course also emphasize transferable knowledge and skills to equip you for a broader job market. You’ll be trained to use variety of computer-aided design tools, including industry-highly-required Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) tools. Also, honing your business skills are a key focus throughout the course.
This honours degree is for those who have a strong interest in mechanical engineering and a clear desire to develop their knowledge and skills in automotive engineering. It is a fully accredited engineering degree that has been designed for the automotive industry (regional and national) in response to the shortfall of mechanical engineers.
The BSc (Hons) Complementary Therapies for Healthcare degree offers students the opportunity to develop professional skills in preparation for working in the practice of complementary therapy. As well as developing an understanding of complementary medicine philosophy, you will also gain knowledge of a holistic approach to care, evidenced based practice and therapeutic skills.
