Earlier this year, Glyndŵr University moved into the top three universities in Wales after rising 44 places in a league table of UK universities.

Industry-led courses are at the heart of our offering. We pride ourselves on links with major local and regional employers, such as Airbus, Kellogg’s, JCB and the BBC. Their knowledge and expertise is fed back into our courses, ensuring they provide students with only the most relevant skills for 21st century industry.

Open Days

Make sure you come and visit us for our next open day which takes place on Saturday, March 4, 2017.

Our open days are designed to give you taste of what it's like to study at Wrexham Glyndŵr and a chance for you to learn much more about our University, including the wide variety of degree programmes available, what our campus has to offer as well as being able to meet with course staff and current students.

Whilst most of the action will be taking place on our main campus, you'll also have the opportunity to visit our School of Creative Arts in Regent Street, and our land-based courses will be showcased at the Northop campus.

Can't make our March open day? Don't worry, we are also holding events throughout the year, the next being on Saturday, June 10, 2017.

In the meantime, why not check out our 'why choose us' section to find why we could be perfect for you!

Student Life in North Wales

Your student life will be key part of your university experience and something you will always remember. Your time at university will bring many opportunities to make new friends – not just on your course but at your student accommodation, at the students’ union and through the clubs and societies you join.

If you have a sporting interest or just want to maintain a healthy lifestyle during your studies Wrexham Glyndŵr University has a wealth of sporting facilities both on-campus and nearby. Our location means that if you like outdoor activities there are plenty of opportunities to continue a sport that you enjoy or even try a new one.

If you’re seeking an energetic social life the Students’ Union will be at the heart of the action. It does everything you’d expect: organising parties, comedy nights, live music and student balls.

Beyond campus, the town centre is home to a good selection of venues ranging from traditional pubs to more modern bars and clubs - all within a short walk of each other. There is always plenty going on a new band to see or a student offer to be taken advantage of.
