Student accommodation in the Netherlands

Universities in the Netherlands do not have on-campus accommodation however, some may be able to arrange a room for international students, but not all will so you’ll have to check with them first.

Accommodation in the Netherlands can be difficult to find so it’s best to start looking for somewhere as soon as possible. Most students live in or near university towns so you may be able to find people to live with; sharing flats with other students in quite common. You’ll have your own bedroom but share the bathroom, kitchen and living room areas.

When renting privately make sure you find out what the contract does and does not allow you to do, whether bills are included in the rent or not and whether the house/flat is furnished or not.
