This exciting new degree is aimed at students who want to combine a mastery of a range of 'non-traditional' modes of writing (such as digital fiction and screenwriting) with the study of others forms of media (for example television and radio, film and video, software and computer games, design, professional writing and journalism).
The programme aims to encourage exploration of professional writing with special emphasis on innovation and inquiry. It will also enable students to develop critical and self-reflective perspectives on their professional writing in the context of historical and contemporary practice. The ultimate aim is to prepare students for sustainable, professional practice as writers.

How's your Welsh? Nearly half of the town speak it, so better brush up! Bangor is a beautiful place, with Snowdonia nearby. The nights out are legendary although, you'll never have one like it anywhere else. Be warned – between the massive hills everywhere and the sticky floors, you’re not gonna want to wear your best shoes. It’s a small town so you’ll make loads of friends quickly. As for the uni itself, my teachers were really charming, intelligent and unafraid to push you into new ways of thinking, and the Union were amazing at making us feel welcome and supported.

Good to very good. The only thing that let this rating down was communication between course directors, tutors and students occasionally going amiss and sometimes being conflicting in terms of advice and expectations set.
