How's your Welsh? Nearly half of the town speak it, so better brush up! Bangor is a beautiful place, with Snowdonia nearby. The nights out are legendary although, you'll never have one like it anywhere else. Be warned – between the massive hills everywhere and the sticky floors, you’re not gonna want to wear your best shoes. It’s a small town so you’ll make loads of friends quickly. As for the uni itself, my teachers were really charming, intelligent and unafraid to push you into new ways of thinking, and the Union were amazing at making us feel welcome and supported.

Good to very good. The only thing that let this rating down was communication between course directors, tutors and students occasionally going amiss and sometimes being conflicting in terms of advice and expectations set.

Good for those who like to keep fit, tutors and lecturers are lovely, very scenic with a lot of support
