**We have greater flexibility with our entry requirements during Clearing, so letâs talk about your future. Call us on +44 (0)1202 966777 to find your place at BU this September.**
Approved by the Solicitors Regulation Authority, and the Bar Standards Board, this all-encompassing law course will prepare you for work in the law profession, as well as offer you lots of practical experiences by attending court, taking part in Moot Courts and Moot Show Trials and attending guest lectures.
We know itâs difficult to decide which area of law youâd like to focus on when youâre just setting out on your training, which is why we offer three law pathways, all of which share a common first semester. This means that you donât need to make any major decisions about which branch of law youâd like to specialise in until youâve spent a term studying the subject area and have a better grasp of what each field entails. As well as LLB (Hons) Law, we offer LLB (Hons) Law with Politics and LLB (Hons) Law, Media & Creative Industries.
As well as what youâll learn in your lectures and seminars youâll also have the opportunity to put knowledge into practice during a 30-week work placement, taken between your second and final year. Furthermore, there will be opportunities for you to join the BU Law Society and to contribute to the BU Law Review, an academic publication designed to encourage you to further your interests relating to the law and to publish your excellent research in the area.
You will study a range of subject areas including Legal Skills & Systems; Law of Obligations; Constitutional & EU Law; Criminal Law; Property Law as well as choosing option units depending on which pathway you decide to study.

Bournemouth is an amazing student city, with new club nights on all the time and a great atmosphere. The beach is lovely and the centre of student life in the Summer. Everybody is friendly, with a great diverse student body. There’s loads of places in town - try the Buffalo, a short bus ride away from the centre but with amazing drinks and staff. The tutors are great, providing interesting and dynamic lectures and offering a load of support and guidance.

It was fine. The academics were the best part, and the archaeology department is excellent, all the staff are really friendly and they all know you by name cause the course is so small. The uni itself is not the best but definitely not the worst I've seen, and SUBU is pretty good. Accommodation is quite bad, but the quality of the housing is fine, there's just not enough of it. Student houses are usually awful, but there are some good ones around.
My overall uni experience has been pretty fine with Bournemouth.
