Acceptance on to the programme depends on a number of factors, for example: initial field of registration, a 2:2 honours degree or equivalent in Nursing, the date of the applicant’s original registration and the availability of adequate resources to enable the applicant to join the programme with advanced standing e.g. vacancies within programmes, or placements. Bournemouth is an amazing student city, with new club nights on all the time and a great atmosphere. The beach is lovely and the centre of student life in the Summer. Everybody is friendly, with a great diverse student body. There’s loads of places in town - try the Buffalo, a short bus ride away from the centre but with amazing drinks and staff. The tutors are great, providing interesting and dynamic lectures and offering a load of support and guidance.

Hard work but so worth it.

Bournemouth is such a beautiful place and being so close to the beach is great for the more stressful times in a students life- but the overall vibe of the university isn't brilliant. A lot of people there are rude and uninviting which can make it really hard, especially if you move far away from home and family to be there. The staff create a friendly environment but that is where the friendliness ends at Bournemouth university.
