Course details
Course UCAS code: VV10
Qualification type:
  • BA (Hons), Full-time Including Foundation Year , Duration: 4 Years
Course Summary:
At Keele University, we're different. Nestled in 600 acres of countryside in the heart of the UK, we have a big campus but a small and cosmopolitan community. We're proud to be 'University of the Year for Student Experience' in The Times and The Sunday Times Good University Guide 2017, in addition to having been ranked No.1 in the National Student Survey 2014-2016. This is because it's more than green and lovely, it's a place of research and academic excellence too. Studying The Humanities Foundation Year will allow for an exploration and deeper understanding of various subject disciplines, which can then be focused when progressing onto an honours degree at Keele. This course provides preparation for the academic skills required for degree level study, delivering the opportunity to develop the questioning and analytical skills required for progression in your chosen humanities subject. After you have completed your Humanities Foundation Year, you could progress on to the History degree. You'll learn the skills of the historian as you deepen your understanding of eras, continents and cultures from political, social and religious perspectives. You'll develop an understanding of different approaches to history and the range of methods used in its pursuit. You'll take classes with world-renowned experts who love their subjects and love to teach too. You can choose History by itself or combine it with subjects including English Literature, American Studies, Politics or Education.

But if do you need to go into the local towns, buses are available every 20 minutes that go all around the local areas. Because there are no large cities on your doorstep, the SU works tirelessly to put on amazing nights, including the 'Flirt' nights which are always popular. Excellent***** Keele is the best university to learn, grow, make lasting friends and to succeed in life. I have no regrets choosing Keele.

The social side has been brilliant yet the course just lets Keele down massively and considering you go to university for the course this is a bit of a problem.
