Course details
Course UCAS code: B233
Qualification type:
  • MPharm (H), Full-time , Duration: 5 Years
Course Summary:
At Keele University, we're different. Nestled in 600 acres of countryside in the heart of the UK, we have a big campus but a small and cosmopolitan community. We're proud to be 'University of the Year for Student Experience' in The Times and The Sunday Times Good University Guide 2017, in addition to having been ranked No.1 in the National Student Survey 2014-2016. This is because it's more than green and lovely, it's a place of research and academic excellence too. The 5 year MPharm (with Integrated Training Year) shares the same core topics of the four year MPharm course. The fourth year of the MPharm course is split across years four and five, to provide opportunity for the Integrated Training Year. Keele has excellent links with the local health service; dedicated teaching facilities; modern, well-equipped laboratories and analytical facilities; an enthusiastic, multidisciplinary teaching team; and a stimulating research environment. This course has been designed specifically for overseas students, integrating the pre-registration year into years 4 and 5 of the MPharm programme. Provisional accreditation has been achieved from the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) for this course. Please visit keele.ac.uk/pharmacy/undergraduate/accreditation for further information. Graduates from this course will have a portfolio of skills that are attractive to potential employers in health authorities, hospitals, community pharmacies and in the pharmaceutical industry both in the United Kingdom and globally. Throughout the course, you will be able to assess which areas of pharmacy are of most interest to you and practicing pharmacists will be available to provide advice.

But if do you need to go into the local towns, buses are available every 20 minutes that go all around the local areas. Because there are no large cities on your doorstep, the SU works tirelessly to put on amazing nights, including the 'Flirt' nights which are always popular. Great, perfect for those who are not too fussed about living in a big city, it's the best of both worlds.
