The course is centred around studio-based design assignments and you spend much of your time involved in design project work. Individual project work allows you to develop as a designer, while group work reflects the reality of your future professional life. You are encouraged to spend your 3 year on an industrial placement.
Year 1: Design thinking and practice 1; Design communications and computing 1; Human-centred design. Year 2: Design thinking and practice 2; Design communications and computing 2; Design futures and innovation. Year 3: Design project; Portfolio design projects; Innovation and enterprise; Design dissertation.

The uni’s in the perfect place to explore London from, with Borough Market and London Bridge on one side and Waterloo and the South Bank all within 15 minutes’ walk from campus. The Halls are great, even if Elephant & Castle might be a bit daunting at first. You'll ahve great support from lecturers, who are friendly and challenge students academically, and there's a wide range of facilities and helpful technicians. The careers support service and SU are also amazing, really dedicated to helping students out and very approachable.
